Are All Children at Heart!
Children
of all ages love to come on our tours. If you're on vacation with
your kids, a trip to the reef to snorkel and see dolphins swimming
will be the highlight of their visit to Key West.
Nothing
lights up a child's face like spotting these incredible marine mammals.
And swimming and snorkeling our clear, warm water is always a treat.
The
trip is also educational, though we promise your kids won't realize
they are learning so much about the coral reef and the marine environment
of the Florida Keys. Every trip is different, but the eco-tour part
of the charter includes spotting all sorts of animals in and out
of the water in addition to the playful dolphin - we often see turtles,
sting rays, crabs, octopus, and grouper, as well as lots of colorful
tropicals, below the water line; and cormorants, osprey, and frigate
birds aloft.
After
the dolphin encounter, we head to the reef for a snorkel adenture.
If you or your kids have never snorkeled, don't worry, as long as
you can swim, Captain Donna will take care of the rest. Once out
of the water, plenty of natural sugar is offered to you - pineapple
and canteloupe with soda or water. Seaweed will do her begging at
this time, but you're having so much fun that you don't even mind.
On
our tours, we know that if you are all kids at the end of the day,
then it was a job well done. The small children will fall asleep
on the ride back to the dock, as a relaxed glow reflects on your
face.
